Guys and Dolls Musical at Chasetown Specialist Sports College

A host of creative young people are preparing to present the musical, ‘Guys and Dolls’ in a Burntwood school next week. Students at Chasetown Specialist Sports College are involved in every aspect of the production from acting, singing, dancing and playing to designing the programme and tickets, making costumes and planning lighting. GCSE Art students have participated in workshops with the artist Matt Reeves to design and paint scenery for the show which is set in 1940s New York and includes the well-known songs ‘Luck be a Lady’, ‘Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat’ and of course the title song ‘Guys and Dolls’. Performances take place at 7.00 p.m. in the college theatre on March 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th. Tickets priced £6.00 and £3.50 can be obtained from reception, tel. 01543 68582.
