About Chasetown College

Chasetown Specialist Sports College is a co-educational, Foundation status 11 to 18 mixed comprehensive college which admits pupils mainly from the southern and south-eastern areas of Burntwood, Staffordshire. The college was opened in 1970 and a new Sports Hall was opened in 2005 housing excellent facilities. At present there are 871 on roll of whom over 112 are in the Sixth Form studying mainly GCE or VCE Advanced levels.
Our results at Key Stage 3 are above the national average. GCSE results are consistently around the National Average for pupils achieving 5 or more grades at C or above, while Advanced level results compare favourably with other schools in Staffordshire.
The College has gained recognition for the excellence of its provision for the Arts and Sport through the achievement of the Artsmark Silver Award and the Sportsmark Gold Award.We have been designated a Specialist Sports College since September 2004.
